Formed in October 2008, we are group of photographers who meet to share techniques, take pictures, and pursue various interests within the world of photography.
Everyone who has an interest in photography is welcome to join our society. We cater to all levels of experience from the most inexperienced newcomer right through to the professional.
MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the St. Tammany Photographic Society is to enhance the creative and technical skills of its members and to promote the understanding of photography as an art form.
MONTHLY MEETING SCHEDULE
Regular meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month, at 7:00 pm in the St. Tammany Art Association Art House at 320 N. Columbia Street in Covington. Non-members who are interested in learning more about the STPS are welcome to attend any meeting.
NEW MEMBERS ARE WELCOME

The next meeting of the St. Tammany Photographic Society will be on Thursday, February 9th at 7:00 pm in the St. Tammany Art Association Art House on Columbia Street in Covington. ANNUAL DUES
Please mail or bring your annual dues payment to the next meeting. Annual dues are $20/individual and $25/couple.
MONTHLY PHOTO ASSIGNMENT
Each month, we assign a photo project to our members to get us thinking out of the box and challenge our photographic skills. This month, the assignment is Depth of Field. Here are the rules:
Take and submit your best photo exhibiting depth of field in a unique way. DoF is affected by the focal length of your lens, aperture setting, and proximity to the subject. Post editing using programs like Photoshop is permitted. Submit your best photo to the ST Photo Society page on Flickr (the link is listed below).
Deadline: February 2, 2012
